What is a Virtual Race?
A Virtual run is a self motivated race that can be completed in your own time, place and pace. You can run, walk, jog, crawl if you like, whatever challenges you. You can run on the road, in the country or on a treadmill, just complete the distance to earn the medal.
Who can enter a Virtual Race?
Virtual races are suitable for everyone, those who love running, those wanting to keep fit, young people, old people, anyone who wants to win a medal for achieving their goal without the pressure of signing up to a big event and being tied to a time and date
How far do I have to run?
We offer a range of medals, on our virtual races page, for many distances, just choose your goal and sign up. Any medal that doesn't have a specified distance, you can choose your own goal, just state your distance on the sign up form. When your medal arrives it will have a Ministry of Medals badge attached to the ribbon showing your distance.
How do I submit my evidence?
There are many running apps available on the app stores (Strava, Map My Run, Runkeeper etc). Simply download a running app and use it to track your run. Screenshot your run when you have completed it and upload a screenshot of your run summary on the contact form. A photo of a treadmill or watch display is absolutely fine.
What if my app didn't record my run or I don't have a screenshot?
That's fine, we understand that these things happen. We are sure no one would claim a medal that they haven't earned. Fill out the submission form anyway and you will still receive your medal.
How long do I have to complete my run?
Unless stated otherwise, our events should be completed within 6 weeks of signing up, although, we understand situations happen and if it takes longer to complete you will still be able to claim your medal (up to 3 months after sign up). However, the quicker you earn your medal, the quicker you can get to work on your next one!!
How much of my sign up fee goes to charity?
Our chosen charity this year is brainstrust.org.uk. We will donate at least 20% of the profits from each event fee to this charity.
Do you send medal out before or after my run?
Medals are sent out when evidence of your run is submitted, however, if you would like your medal sent out straight away, please send an email and we will pop in in the post for you.
Why won't my discount code work?
If you are a returning customer and using a code sent with your medal, you will need to sign up with the same email address that you used last time you signed up.
The virtual races that you want to sign up for may not be included in the offer.
Our Charity virtual races, currently Get Your Fight On and brainstrust, where a significant amount of profits are donated, are not included in any sale or discount so that we can ensure the charities get all of the money pledged to them.
Can I enter if I live outside of the UK?
Yes you can, international shipping is £3.99.
